Byron W. Haynes, AIA

Byron is a graduate of Colgate University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.  He has been working as a licensed architect since 1989 on a variety of project types and has a particular interest in well crafted, sustainably designed buildings. He is currently licensed in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Byron has lived in Norwich Vermont since 1985 where he and his wife raised two boys and three white dogs.

Byron spends as much time as possible outdoors and enjoys road biking, mountain biking, hiking in all seasons, cross country and telemark skiing.  Byron spends many hours volunteering with trails organizations that plan, build and maintain recreational trails and that also encourage healthy lifestyles and stewardship of our natural resources.

A Prouty volunteer and participant since 1986, Byron has also coached youth soccer and lacrosse teams.  In the summer he tends an extensive vegetable garden while devising ways to keep deer at a safe distance.
