Byron W. Haynes, AIA
Byron is a graduate of Colgate University, the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and attended the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies. He has worked as a licensed architect since 1989 on a variety of award winning projects and has a particular interest in well crafted, sustainable buildings. He is licensed in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Byron has lived in Norwich, Vermont since 1985 where he and his wife raised two boys and three dogs. He spends as much time as possible outdoors and enjoys; road biking, mountain biking, hiking in all seasons and cross country, backcountry and alpine skiing. Byron puts in many volunteer hours with organizations that plan, build and maintain recreational trails, promote healthy lifestyles and thoughtful stewardship of our unique natural resources. He has been a Prouty volunteer and participant since 1986 and has coached youth soccer and lacrosse teams. In the summer he tends a large vegetable garden while designing new ways to keep hungry deer at bay.
