Bogburn Hall

Bogburn Hall

Set in a hilltop saddle, this four-bedroom house replaced a ruinous 18th century farmhouse that had been in the family for over 60 years. The design honors the old house by placing the new home in the same location as the old home. It employs similar massing elements, including the front house, back house and barn. The details are typical of a Vermont hill farm. Many building materials were salvaged from the old home, including beams, bricks, board flooring and stone. The porches face east, south and west to take in views of fields, ponds and mountains.
